Been Away on an Island

I am back, sort of. In case anyone has been wondering where I have been, well I have been on vacation on Sosickwanadie Island. What an experience that was! Half comatose under a blanket with a vintage bottle of Robitussin by the snow white Kleenex beaches and warm salt water gargle rinses. Oh the smell of the sick air was delightful! Yes, it wasn't that long ago that I DID take a trip to Feelkindayucky resort, but that was more like a weekend distraction, no big deal. The kind of trip you can work around your day schedule if need be, but Sosickwanadie Island was a week long excursion! Hey, a girl has got to treat herself sometimes you know?

There was no time for my usual schedule there though. I was entirely too busy with the Island's various activities, such as Olympic style coughing. That will really get the old rib cage in shape..I can still feel the burn! Don't worry the fresh underwear are always complimentary at Sosickwanadie Island. Then I worked up a different kind of sweat at club Fever! I will admit, I did have too many Echinacea shots and Theraflu mixed drinks while I was there, but I was on vacation! I am back now though, a little bit of the Island still clings to my lungs and soul, but I know it will all fade away soon and my life will be back to its routine.

So you want to know how to get a reservation on Sosickwanadie Island? Well, you typically need to be invited, my darling little baby nephew Tracy invited me but it is by no means an exclusive club. He also invited his mom (my sister) and his Grandmother to Sosickwanadie Island. Regular little Typhoid Mary in Pampers that baby, such a giver. Maybe someone close to you will be so thoughtful as to invite you to Sosickwanadie Island someday, just make sure you have plenty of free time! It is going to be a LONG vacation.

PS. Tracy is doing fine, he is all better himself and is back to the land of cute gummy smiles and adorable baby giggles and his aunt loves him very much.

Welcome back!! I'm so sorry you haven't been feeling well. That really stinks! I've visited that island before and yea... it's not so fun!

Thanks for the tips on the list, we'll see what I can get hubs to help with, he's not much of a builder but he'll help clean :)

Oh my. I hope you are feeling better. I went thru something similar about a month ago. I won't go into the disgusting details. All I can say is, give yourself plenty of time to recover, get plenty of rest, and don't feel guilty about it!
I very much enjoy your website. I hope you're on the mend and I look forward to seeing and hearing more of your farm/ranch experiences.
Best wishes, Nancy

Good to "read" you back and I'm glad you had the chance to get away. I need to do that, but I'll have to wait until after I move; and after school is over, and... oh, well, I have a few things to do, but I'm so going to the Dominican Republic. Soon!

I am surprised we didn't see each other there.

I had an extended stay of almost four weeks now. No time to stop as I happily send out invitations while at work.

Delightful post. Glad you are on the mend.

Ugh, I don't envy your vacation at all! I'm glad you can have a sense of humor about it. Club Fever, indeed. I hope you had some TLC while you were "gone." I feel like I've got a long-term lease on a property on Sluggish Island, myself. Never fear, the sun is bound to reappear one of these days!

I am glad you are feeling better, Jennifer. It seems many have recently went on vacation there. I think I will opt to pass on it. :) Take care.

Luckily I was at work when the Sister brought by the sickly little guy. Don't feel sorry for jennifer everyone, what about me, living with a sick person that has to have it at about 95 degrees in the house and is still freezing.... Just kidding, this is Jennifer's hubby, and I love my puny wife and I'm glad she's feeling better.

I've been offered some of those vacation deals but no thanks, I'll keep popping my one-a-day vitamins and stay on top of this mountain.

I have started taking a vitamin C each day after two "vacations" in one month! Seems my immune system could use a boost perhaps.

LOL Jen! Don't you just love being an Aunt?! My nephew got a hold of his Mom's cell phone and decided to call my cell phone but his Mom hung up before he left me a message, he'll be 14 months old tomorrow.
